When are deals really deals

It is getting harder and harder to find a good deal.

On the surface, every site I browse to seems to be claiming that some product is on sale, at a discount or just cheaper than everywhere else. However this often isn't true. Companies often increase the price of a product just before putting it on sale, allowing them to say things like "$20 off the regular selling price"

Another trick used that I particularly hate is the 40% sale that seems to have been going for months. Everytime you go to the site, the same items are "On Sale". That isn't a sale, that is the normal selling price. Just calling it a sale doesn't make it so.

What can be also misleading is retailers that are selling something at a discounted price, and it is actually discounted. But what you don't know is that some other retailer is selling the exact same product for even less. Knowing what deals are the best at any given point can save a lot of money

There are however good ways to find deals, especially using the internet. The internet can be a great tool for finding out what good deals are available and when they end. You can even find out what deals other people enjoy.
